Campbell to co-produce Conway bridal fashion show

Brandon D. Campbell, Little Rock Fashion Week's founder and executive producer, will co-produce the fashion show at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Conway 2012 Bridal Show on Sunday February 26, 2012 at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds, located at 2505 East Oak St. in Conway, Ark. The bridal show is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The fashion show is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The fashion event will star the high fashion runway models, of all ages and sizes, from Campbell's Oneofakind Talent Inc. modeling agency and past Little Rock Fashion Week presentations. They'll wear clothes from Belk, David's Bridal, Dillard's, Men's Wearhouse, and Reba's Formal Wear.

This will be the second ADG bridal fashion show that Campbell is involved in, featuring OTI and LRFW models, in a month. On January 15th, the ADG Bridal Fashion Show in Little Rock featured models from OTI and LRFW.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (Feb. 20, 2012) – Magic Springs Water and Theme Park made a major announcement before thousands of concert-goers at Sunday night’s Winter Jam, Christian music’s largest annual tour, held at the Verizon Arena.  Park representatives told the crowd Magic Springs will expand its Christian entertainment offerings in the 2012 season with a new special event, “Celebrate The Word,” a multi-weekend festival spread through the Summer.

“Our Christian music weekends are very popular. We want to build upon that to bring our families more of the entertainment they desire, in the kind of environment they want,” said Steve Honeycutt, the park’s General Manager.

Local teen fashion designer makes New York debut

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Aaliyah Fisher, of Little Rock, has reached a milestone in her young fashion career.

On February 10 Fisher, 14, presented her Grafetti Couture clothing line at PLITZS New York City Fashion Week. Twice a year, PLITZS showcases 36 emerging fashion designers during New York Fashion Week. This season 1,300 designers applied.

15 looks from Grafetti’s spring collection was seen by media, fashionistas and buyers inside NYC’s historical Warwick Hotel. At the show, Fisher was interviewed by ChannelTV and Fashion World Magazine. Afterwards, some attendees purchased Grafetti clothes.

New York City based guitarist, Peter Fletcher, will appear at the Garland County Library, Sunday, February 19, at 2:00 PM.

A native of Atlanta, Fletcher began playing guitar at seven years old and made his formal debut at 15. He made his New York Debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in February 2007, returned in 2008 and 2009, and in March of 2010 played the venue to a completely sold out audience. His three recordings are The Art of Classical Guitar, A Peter Fletcher Recital and Federico Mompou: Guitar Works.

Sonny Burgess to headline Johnny Cash tribute

The Garland County Library will host The Johnny Jamboree, a tribute to the late Kingsland, Arkansas native Johnny Cash, on Saturday, February 11.  Sonny Burgess and the Legendary Pacers will headline the event.  Other festivities will include a “Johnny Cash Birthday Bash” and a performance by Adayas, a local band.

“Great music is a part of our heritage as Arkansans,” said Karen Covey, who is organizing the event for the library.  “Of all the great musicians who’ve come from Arkansas, the one who’s probably had the most impact and touched the most people is Johnny Cash.  This is our tribute to the Man in Black.”

Rockabilly Hall of Fame member and Arkansas native Sonny Burgess, along with his band the Legendary Pacers, will perform at 3 pm in the Gordonelle Williams Hall.
