HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- FedEx Executive Gregory Hall will address the Governor’s Aerospace Summit on Tuesday, March 29 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. The Summit will bring together nearly 200 industry leaders, government officials and educators to discuss the progress and needs of the aviation and aerospace industry in Arkansas. The Summit is organized by the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges (AATYC) Aerospace Training Consortium.

City of Hot Springs - A class for first-time homebuyers will be held by the One-Stop Homeownership Community Development Center at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 19 at 800 Spring Street. Potential first-time homeowners will learn about closing costs, down payment funding, and how to shop for a home. Anthony Sayadian of the US Bank Mortgage Department and Foreclosure Agent Tom Shelton of the Federal Housing Authority will be guest speakers. PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Sharon L. Gaber, Ph.D., Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs with the University of Arkansas has been named to the Simmons First National Corporation board of directors.

According to J. Thomas May, chairman and chief executive officer, Gaber became provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas in 2009.
