Crews contain fire on Hot Springs Mountain | News

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) -- Crews contain a fire in Hot Springs on Hot Springs Mountain.

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission, the fire was located behind the Arlington Hotel, below Pagoda Overlook.

We're told that AFC had two dozers on it.  Also, crews from U.S. Forestry Services, Hot Springs National Park Services and the Hot Springs Fire Department assisted in containing the 1.5 acre fire.

Sheila Doughty with AFC says the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.  She says it was in a wooded area, and no homes were threatened.
