You are cordially invited, to attend the only "No Holds Barred" City / County Candidate Debate prior to the November 6 election. This special event is hosted jointly by the GGGG and Garland County Tea Party.  The Debate will be at the

Garland County Library Auditorium – Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 5:30 PM.

Bring your questions for candidates.  Each candidate will be allowed 2 minutes to answer questions posed to them and the opponents will be allowed 1 minute for rebuttal.  Due to the number of candidates, it is likely that time constraints will dictate that only 3 or 4 questions per candidate can be addressed. This is also why candidates will only be asked written questions from the audience.  Each candidate will also be allowed a 2 minute wrap-up.

AETN to host four debates in ‘Election 2012’

Democrat, Green, Independent, Republican candidates to participate in debates

CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) — Candidates in four races have agreed to participate in “Election 2012: The Debates,” which will tape and air on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Oct. 23-25.

All debates will be held at the AETN studios, 350 South Donaghey Avenue, on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway. Seating is limited, and seats may be reserved by calling 800-662-2386. Doors will open one hour prior to taping times.

U.S. Rep. Tim Griffin, whose district includes part of Hot Springs Village, announced the launch of another “Sweet Tea with Tim” listening tour, calling it the “Second Pitcher:”

The congressman will visit the Village from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Porte Cochere at Ponce de Leon Center.

The Hot Springs Village POA board of directors rejected a proposed ethics policy at the monthly meeting last Wednesday, but did reaffirm their sworn commitment to follow what’s best for the Village.
